I love it--brought together by mutual disdain for Lockhart!
Author's Response: Now you know why I set this in Harry's second year. I needed someone worse than Snape to make him look good. :-) |

She's a witch, isn't she? Why else would you still have her playing with that wand, and Flitwick wanting to teach her. I was dissapointed to hear that no Slytherins were in her choir. I know from JKR's books that Pansy likes to sing. Maybe after they find out she's a witch some will join.
Author's Response: No, she's not a witch, but she's trying very hard to fit in. There is a reason I have her fooling around with a wand. All will be "revealed" in a later chapter. I don't remember the reference to Pansy singing, but Eloise is my special pet, which is why I chose to focus on her. |

Ah, the icy facade is finally fading a bit. Very nicely done on this and I knew Dumbledore was not finished. I love the jabs at Lockhart, he's such a fop. |

I always figured Snape's excuse for being vile and nasty was permanent PMS. I loved it when Lockhart thought the compliment was for him. I doubt if Snape finds it all that much fun to put Lockhart down, he's such an easy mark. With Lockhart he's on automatic pilot, I'm sure he finds it much better when his victim presents a challenge to him. |
