Your recounting of the Final Battle moved me to tears, particularly the grief of Arthur and Molly Weasley. I can just see Arthur cradling Percy and blaming himself; it makes me tear up to just think of it. It reminds me of that passage in the Bible where King David's son, Absolam, who led a rebellion against his father and died in the battle, is brought to his father. David cradles him and cries, "Oh, Absolam, Absolam, my son, my son, would God I had died for thee." Very powerful writing, LariLee, and much better Last Battle storytelling than I have read elsewhere.
Author's Response: Thank you so much, Subversa! Actually, I thought of that same scene when I saw Arthur cradling Percy. I teared up as well. But I cried out right during the proposal chapter. I suspect you will say a lot about me then. ~Lisa |

well if I can (and do) beg for more chapters, then you're well within your rights to beg for more reviews.
The story is wonderful. The plot bunnies have been good to you and the sex scenes are awesome!!
Author's Response: Thank you so much, uniboob! Uniboob is that anything like unibrow? I am so happy you're enjoying this! The plot bunnies have been very, very good to me. ~Lisa |

"Severus was certain it would not end up like the majority of the few promises he had ever given--crushed in the dust under his boots." Poor Severus -- he doesn't give himself much credit, does he?
“I realize there are many men who would like to be by your side. Fortunately, not many of them are suicidal enough to challenge me.”
God, Miss LariLee, what IS it about that kind of possessive protectiveness that just drives women NUTS? Works on me, m'dear, every single time.
Author's Response: I don't know what it is, Subversa, but Snape has it in spades. :-) thank you! ~Lisa |

Awww, I love it when he drops to one knee by her side. The give and take and the sparring between Severus and Beau augur well for a friendship there.
Author's Response: Thank you, Subversa! Yes, not only do I have to give Severus a girlfriend, but a buddy as well. I think he deserves it. ~Lisa |

You are building some strong characters here, Miss LariLee, who are all your own invention. Everybody isn't just making nice; they are being unpleasant and challenging our Potions Master and I am ever so impressed.
Severus! Please take me to Greece and claim me! =) Sorry, couldn't help myself.
Author's Response: Thank you, Subversa! I'm convinced that not everyone will want to play nice. But I always think the good guys make it through. I'll see if you still feel that way when you read what happens in Greece. ~Lisa |

There is nothing wrong with going completely AU. Most of my fics are now that way. This is too wonderful to stop.
Author's Response: Thank you, elysianmusings! I have declared myself "Queen of the Alternate Universe." :-) ~Lisa |

Now you've got me all in love with Beau and Carol. Good lord, woman, have you been writing all your life?? And I wonder if Carol will tell Tricia she's been claimed?? I like the revenge on Derek Andrews -- quite appropriate!
Author's Response: Thank you, Subversa! I've always had stories in my head, but it wasn't until a year ago other people got to see them. I'm so happy you're enjoying this! ~Lisa |

LariLee, dear, you might as well start injecting this story directly into my veins. I can't concentrate on my damn Philosophy homework because I *have* to know what's next.
Absolutely fantabulous, as always.
Author's Response: Thank you, elysianmusings! This sounds almost like to start of a philosophical problem. :-) ~Lisa |
