Reviews for A Right Bastard

macabre31 2005.04.29 - 05:45AM 22: With Friends Like These Signed
Don't suppose you have any rabid plot-bunnies who can attack Aubrey and Montgomery before they have a chance to screw things up? Love Beau; definately think he would have been in Slytherin. Also loved Patricia arguing with the sorting hat; too funny! Can't wait for the next chapter. Thanks!

Author's Response: Thank you so much, macabre31! They're used to be an old cult classic film called "Attack of the Killer Tomatoes" and in my mind, I'm hearing the song from it as "attack of the rabbit plot bunnies". Okay, it's probably not really funny, but I'm finding it amusing. :-)
is there any doubt Beau is a Slytherin? It's a shame he could not have been at Hogwarts when Severus was. I think the marauders would have been in for a rude surprise. I'm glad you're enjoying this!

Ooh. I REALLY like Beau! He's sneaky! (Of course, I would hate it if my real life husband were to do that, but I have to wonder how much of what he told Severus is the truth.) And Tricia's contingency plans are great! I love how everyone's turning out to be much sneakier than I expected. Severus being behind the kidnapping? Wonderful! I can't wait to see how they're going to deal with Aubrey and Montgomery -- because I'm absolutely sure that they will eventually be able to shut them down completely. And probably with sneaky goodness. And Severus and Tricia are finally engaged! Yay! --Martha

Author's Response: Thank you so much, Martha! You have to wonder where the Sorting Hat would put Beau. I don't think he is Hufflepuff. :-) I'm so glad you liked Severus being behind the kidnapping. There is a plan to deal with Aubrey M. Montgomery and Tricia will start next chapter. I'm just so happy you're enjoying this!

This is another story I read last night but was too tired to do a quality review for. I'm glad to see you're back again. I saw that you had an update posted on my friend's computer, but I forgot to take my password with me so I couldn't read it. Snape is such a true blue Slytherin, I should have suspected that he was behind the whole plot. There's nothing wrong with being Slytherin, I sorted myself on about 20 different Sorting Hat sites and on the vast majority I was sorted into Slytherin, the others all came up Ravenclaw. It seems I have no Hufflepuff, or, God forbid, Gryffindor qualities. I've suspected for a while that Beau looked on Snape as a friend. I'm glad Snape sees that too. They will make a formidable pair matching wits with Tricia and Carol. I'm still just giving all the Montgomery stuff a quick scan, I don't like him or Aubrey, I know i'm not supposed to, and I absolutely hate anything to do with politics. how about keeping the story going with as little of them as possible and as much of Snape & Tricia as possible? I'll be waiting for your next update.

Author's Response: Thank you, Trickie Woo! Just imagine what would have been if Beau, Carol, Tricia and Severus all banded together. Forget He-Who-Must-Not-Be-Named, they'd rule the world. :-) And we have to have the bad guys, Trickie, or else this story would be over with and they'd all live happily ever after. We don't want that, not now. Not one I have so many ideas. :-)

Oh, I really like Beau, he is sneaky and I think it would be oh-so-good to get him and Severus together (no, not for that! That's just for my mind!). It would be so good for Severus to have a male friend, not a barf-y-male-bonding nasty thing, but a real guy to plot with. I think they have similar motives and personalities. i am curious as to why he hangs onto the Death Eater wand, hmmm... I am looking forward to the wedding and honeymoon (what could they do that they haven't already?), but I am sure the road there won't be smooth. Can I just say I would like to bust Aubrey and Montgomery's faces?? Arg. Gotta have a bad guy though, it makes the happy times so much sweeter! Excellent story! Here are some rabbit munchies for the bunnies!

Author's Response: Thank you so much, rvc! I'm so glad you like Beau. He is one of my babies and I just love him to pieces. Severus hangs on to his Death Eater wand because destroying a wand is serious business. What did they do that they haven't already done? :-) I've got a few plans. Any time you want to bust a politician, you're all right in my books! And the bunnies say thank you!

Thanks Lisa...I find that I always come short of words though. Anyways politician -yes that's the word ;) Hehe but I like the way you write him. And maybe she wouldn't ..maybe she would just be glad after all...lol It is Snape after all ;)

Author's Response: Thank you so much, Sniv! Never mind coming short of words, I always have enough to go around!

!§%# (I think my com won't let me quote things anymore) Well I had several quotes lined up but my com froze and therefore I lost them all. So I'll just do this with my own words (forgive me). I never saw the Snape-was-behind-it-all twist coming! Very good! (Knowing Snape's luck though he might wanna keep his eyes open - I'll be Tricia would freak if she found out lol) Snape asked her to be his wife? - beautiful! Beau's story and the whole scene with him, Draco and Snape was very good. And then on to Glenn...I *glares* don't *glares* like *glares* him. . . Ahem...Wonderful update...

Author's Response: Thank you so much, Sniv! Your own words are fine and I appreciate them! I'm so glad the twist of Snape being behind it got you. :-) Would Tricia freak out? That's a good question. You don't like Glenn? But he such a fine upstanding politician. :-) I don't like him much either and I don't think he's going to get what he deserves. That bothers me.

Eeek! Tricia had better be careful! Great to see they are at last making wedding plans. And I liked the Sorting Hat scene :)

Author's Response: Thank you, araminta! Tricia's laying plans. After all, this is going to be her real wedding and nobody better muck it up! And I'm so glad you liked the Sorting Hat!

Thank you for the update LariLee! This chapter was a great pleasure to spend a rainy morning with. From sneaky Beau to tender Snape to smarmy Aubrey and the delightful scene with the sorting hat (and very wittily written house-elves)...I have a happy glow, as well as a healthy urge to strangle Montgomery with my own two hands. So go on little bunny...yes, that's it...take the nice treat from the strange lady...and go tell your mistress to get a-dictating...I want more!

Author's Response: Thank you so much, Grainne! I wonder where the Sorting Hat would put Beau. And I'm so glad you don't think Snape was too... un-Snapish. I thank Vocalion for the house-elves' speech, she made it so much better like she always does! Roughly 3 pages out of 15 into the next chapter. And the bunny loves you!
