Reviews for For Tomorrow We May Die

SPK 2005.04.02 - 11:55PM 40: Chapter 40: Restoration of Stability Signed
It's always a pleasure to read an update to this story. I'm glad Severus overcame his stubbornness and went to see Autumn and I hope she finally realizes what a good thing she has with him. Looking forward to the next update. S. K.

Author's Response: Thanks, I'm glad you're enjoying. The next update shouldn't be too far out.

I wonder when everyone in the Order is going to realize that Severus knows much more about the psychology of Voldy and the DEs than they do. "Know thy enemy" and all that.

Author's Response: Maybe... never? No, I'm just kidding. I do think it will take something catastrophic and...

...

Did I just give away plot? *checks notes* Whew. Just almost. ;)

Well done! I am so glad you are back and this is a wonderful addition to the story. Please keep it coming!

Author's Response: THank you! I'm glad you enjoyed.

Yay!!! An update! I'm still here. Your brain must be very full- this has been a loooong storyline, and I just love it. Thanks again, oh, and Severus was f'ing intense. I still say they're all a bunch of ingrates. 'Cept Remus. Oh, and since I've not told you, I think this storyline is really spot-on. You manage to capture Remus' humiliation and sadness very beautifully, even if it is painful to read. More, please!

Author's Response: Thank you. I'm glad you're enjoying the story so much, and I'm glad you're sticking with it through what has been a ridiculously long epic of a fanfic. If I ever get to the end of this stupid thing, I'm never going to take on anything of this magnitude again. *right.*

Im so glad for the update. I was beginning to worry that you had given up. I very nicely done chapter and I hope there will be more following so we can piece this all together. I would appear that things will be a bit slow for a while. I hope that there will be some landmark event that will act as the catalist to bring them together soon. I look forward to more!

Author's Response: I never completely give up. I just have the amazing bouncing muse who was working on other stories. That and the fact that this spring is turning out to be insane. Ah well. I love insane

The "Deformitus" charm is a fun innovation. And I enjoyed Hermione's reaction to Ron dating a sixth year whom she resolved to find out everything about. Very I/C for her. Other couples: looks almost like Autumn might fall for someone less high-maintenance.

Author's Response: I have the hardest time making up magic. Ultimately, that's the biggest challenge I have-- you see, I quit believing in fairy tales and magic when I was about five years old. So for me to come up with this magic, I am literally stretching to the limits of my imagination.

Every now and then I have fun writing Hermione, and that was one of the few times. I promise it wasn't random!

Autumn-Lupin. Oi, you don't kow how tempting that was. Really.

“I am not in love with him. I don’t intend to fall in love with him." So why couldn't she have left the already heartbroken Severus alone in the beginning of the fic? He wanted to be left alone. If I remember correctly, Remus even told her to leave Severus alone for many reasons.

Author's Response: Good question, with the beginnings of answers in the coming chapters.

Great chapter. It seems to me that Autumn is still basing her desires in life on what she wants to run away from, rather than what she wants to run towards.

Author's Response: Excellent observation. Here's hoping she'll work it out.

I am so glad to hear you are on a roll again. I have missed the updates to this story. It sure has gotten good to say the very least! This chapter is very well done. So like a woman to play the mind games (I can remember before I was married that I did a few of my own). And it is so like a man to have no clue! HA! The ending of this chapter is very nicely played out with the last lingering comments of Severus as he tires to seal up the hurt he is feeling with the "I don't care" mantra many of us do in times like that. I can't wait for the next chapter...

Author's Response: Thank you! I have a special love for the games people play with each other and with themselves. Aside from that, I'm finally starting to head down the road of this relationship, which has really been backburner up to now.

Thanks for the comments!

Very nice chapter Razz. Poor Severus just doesn't understand how that discussion turned into a fight! I do like the interaction between him and Remus. I've always thought those two could be friends. I will be back after the next chapter! Ces

Author's Response: Thank you! I'm glad you're enjoying. I think there's a lot of potential between Severus and Remus as well, and some built-in friction.

Thanks for commenting.
