| Don't be shocked! I did not read Bittersweet in one day, but waited to review until I had read both "prequels" to "FTWMD". I'd wondered a bit what you might write about in 42 chapters without bringing Autumn and Severus too close together as they still seemed to be quite unfamiliar with each other at the beginning of "FTWMD". You did an excellent job, though, telling stories of Severus' daily life, minor details, but wonderfully written and so enticing to read (his grading essays, teaching, being Head of House, forgetting to eat, his relations to his Slytherins' parents ...) Once again a marvellous story! I especially liked how you displayed his relationship with Minerva, the gently and not so smoothly developing familiarity, even closeness to Remus and his trying to get things straightened out with Harry; Bittersweet cleared a lot of questions I still had, in particular why the Weasleys, especially Bill, are so short with Severus ... I noticed one thing though: It isn't important at all and is, of course, your choice to adapt it or not. It also didn't bother me at all, I just thought I'd mention it nonetheless: Molly Weasley is a born Prewett, sister to Fabian and Gideon Prewett, members of the OoP who have been killed during Voldemort's first rise. In Chapter 29 you mentioned her maiden name being Melksin... Anyway, great story!! I'll take more time reviewing "FTWMD". Keep writing! ~haley | |||

| Ooooh i was soooo mad at you a few chapters ago! Very well done! Can't wait to read the sequel. A few minor typos here and there throughout but very well written. I'm glad I knew there was a sequel, or I really would have believed that you let Snape die. Nonetheless I was quite moved.
With Autumn you created a counterpart to Severus. What should I say - opposites attact! I'm quite curuous as to how it will work out in "Tomorrow we will die".

| It probably would have made more sense to read this story and "Still Waters" before reading "Tomorrow" and "NMNB" but I do have a tendency to do things backward. | I absolutely loved this fic. I haven't really read many Severus/other fics. I've mainly read Severus/Hermione but while browsing ashwinder I found the link to this archive and this story. It is wonderful. I Loved how you portrayed Severus. Most people I've read when trying to portray that Severus is hurting for whatever reasons have him acting totally out of character. In this you not only kept Severus in character but made the story 100% beleivable. I can't wait to read the sequal which i'm off to find now as well as the one with Aislin. You are a fantastic writter and I hope you keep up the good work. I love all angsty snape fics and excpecially loved this oone.
