This chapter is an aberration. It does not belong in this story. You need to erase this entire chapter and BRING SNAPE BACK ALIVE!!! It has been WAY too long!! FIX THIS NOW!!!!! (please???)
Hmm, perhaps they could at least do a Polyjuice test - Book 4 says the person has to be alive or else their appearance can't be duplicated (that's why Crouch had to keep Moody alive)); so if they have some of Snape's hair, they can make Polyjuice, have someone drink it, and if it works they know he's alive somewhere. No?
