| Oh, goodness me. This was a fabulous story. I spent a weekend just enjoying myself and reading it. Please, hurry with a sequel, I can't wait to see the wedding. What's that? The Dark Lord might be defeated before they do that? Rubbish! I say they'll still marry.

| Very well done indeed. Cunning and deceptive, on a wide variety of levels.
Helena clearly trusts Severus's wards, to speak so freely in Malfoy Manor. Just as clearly, she does love Severus, even as she acknowledges, and likes, the caution he shows around her.
Severus also loves Helena, and appreciates her own deceptive and cunning abilities.
I would expect there to be some talk between them regarding the upcoming marriage... but, yes, they would make a very powerful husband and wife team, which should be truly interesting, particularly with a public marriage right after she officially graduates (less the time for public banns).
When will they discuss the fact that the new plan completely throws out her being a seductive virginal spy for Voldemort - not only is she clearly not a virgin, but few people will believe Severus isn't going to be an extreme threat to anyone his wife is unfaithful to him with.
The other danger, of course, is - does one partner get the other partners power - i.e. can it be managed so Helena's powers go to Severus (or vice versa)? Trust might become quite important.
Poppy's reactions, and actions, seem quite in character - and she would be a powerful ally for a united couple defending their unborn child or children.
The comparison to Bellatrix was interesting, as Bellatrix would gladly give up her child's life to Riddle.
In a longer term way, I have to admit curiosity as to how their child will turn out, and whether or not they'll hide their cunning, or simply continue as they are, and exercise it in a more playful manner with each other.
Thank you for having spent the time writing this - I enjoyed reading it greatly. |
