Reviews for Making Ends Meet

Heather 2006.02.14 - 10:03PM 35: The Hen's Night Anonymous
I swear to God, you just keep rocking my life with this story here... this is SO good... and you've got him down SO well... Christ. Okay... Really though, usually long stories get lame - This keeps getting better, SO much better! You rock, and I love the Severus you've captured and holy hell I need to stop ranting... awesome work! If I could write like that... I'd never sleep... ALRIGHT! Having officially freeked everyone out, I'm done... GOD IT'S GOOD!!!

Author's Response: Sorry it's taken me so very long to reply to your comments, but I've had a severe cold recently and have been laid up in bed :-( Anyway, thank you very much for your review! I'm really pleased that the length of the story hasn't made the narrative drawn-out and dull...sadly, though, the story's nearly finished. I think two more chapters and it will be completed. Thanks!

ive been reading ure story without studying for my test!!!! i love ure version of severus. he is adorable. i understand exaclty how rosie feels abt him. keep up the good work, look forward to the rest of the story

Author's Response: :-D I am flattered that my story has proved such a distraction! Hope that your test, whenever it is, goes all right. The next chapter should be up soon...just got to do some tweaking and make some final adjustments, but it will be up sometime in the next week. As usual, I have been preoccupied with work, work, work... Thank you for the review!

i've just read all your story,i like it so much! rosie is so different that the character we are used to see! she is not impressed at all by severus. i hope that everything will be all right for their wedding. i hope too that you are all right .i kiss you, and please excuse me for my english but i'm french. alexandra

Author's Response: Lol, don't worry about your English; I'm honoured that you traipsed through the muddle of my own language to read this story. I'm really pleased you like Rosie; she was a fun creation and has sort of taken a life of her own, at least in my mind! Thank you very much for the well wishes and the review - I shall attempt to update relatively soon!

Good to see you back :) Great chapter as always and I'm looking forward to the wedding itself! I just hope Maximus doesn't have plans to try and sabotage their big day.

Author's Response: :-D Maximus probably has a few ideas, but we shall see if they come to anything significant. Thank you for taking the time to leave a review!

I recognized the names and my eyebrows hit the roof. Dickens' "Oliver Twist" though... eh. not my most favorite book of all time. However, very nice inclusions and I ESPECIALLY liked you ending. *heh heh* I'm glad you're back! -Mel

Author's Response: Dickens is a wonderful author, and the BBC's "Bleak House" was incredible, but "Oliver Twist" is so overfilmed that I can't be bothered to go back and read the book again, which is a shame. I should have put in Virginia Woolf's "Clarissa Dalloway" or something - that would have shocked everyone. A sapphist in our midst! I don't know if you've perused any of Woolf's things? Thank you for the review, and I'm glad to be back! :-D

Very nice to see a new chapter. I know how RL can get hectic and totally derail things. Hopefully updates will come a little sooner...Why do I get the feeling that even though Maximus was told to behave, that he'll do something to cause trouble? Nice job.

Author's Response: Lovely to hear from you. It'd be nice if updates could be sooner (it might not seem like it, but I hate posting updates so infrequently) but, as you say, RL is derailing! Maximus, Maximus, Maximus...he'll try his best to sabotage anything, that man... Thanks for the review!

Wow it's been ages since I was in here reading! Sorry about that! I hope you are feeling better now...Wonderful update(s)! Happy new year! =) And take care of yourself, mate!

Author's Response: Sniv! You're back! :-D Where have you been these past months...and does this mean that you have updated recently? I shall go and have a look...it's unbelievable how behind I am on reading the stories on this site! Happy New Year to you, too!

Awesome

Author's Response: Thank you very much. I hope you continue to enjoy the story. :-)

Maximus is such an ass! Regardless, Severus found exactly the right words to tell Rosie how he really felt. I kind of hoped that when they went to the Greek place that night there would be a sissy fight between 2, better make that 1 gentleman and a jerk in the street outside that would eventually invade the restaurant. That was the best fight I've ever seen in the movies.

Author's Response: Maximus is a complete bastard, it must be said. I kind of 'like' him being that way - some people never change, and all that. However, just for you, Trickie Woo, I'll make something nasty happen to him at the wedding... Maybe not something huge, but it's the little things in life, after all... Thanks for the comments!

[...] he rubbed his neck nervously, “I am very fond of you…”

That was really cute!

Author's Response: :-D Thank you - I enjoyed making him coy and flustered. Nice to hear from you again, Melpomene!
