Reviews for Making Ends Meet

Oh, I do have a silly grin plastered across my face. Thank you! And thanks again for giving those of us who are also useless with a mascara brush someone to look up to.

Author's Response: ;-D I'm terrible with any kind of make-up product. Mascara is bad enough, but how on earth do people put on eyeliner without gouging their eyes out!! Lol!

"...he didn?t think his body would ever be safe from the reactions she provoked from him." Gorgeous! ?I bloody well realise that my murdering my own mother is different to your inviting my father over for tea!? Bloody hilarious! [my sick sense of humor showing again] And the bit at the end about tea and children is classic!

Author's Response: :-D When faced with a difficult situation, have a cup of tea. The best distraction! Bless him! Thanks!

Very emotionally powerful chapter--fantastic portrayal of Snape's struggle about how to act/react to his father.

Author's Response: Cheers. I didn't want to make Severus's reaction too - simple. I wanted to have a bit of inner turmoil there, as I don't think what he did was particularly easy.

"...she felt that it would be best to be given a clean bill of health before she was forced to bodily hold onto him to stop him killing another one of his parents." I laughed, quite audibly and shamelessly, at this line. Am I sick? Perhaps, but I DO enjoy this story, more and more. And the idea of Snape watching a programme on the making of HP films...like a hall of mirrors...I wonder what he thinks of himself?

Author's Response: LOL! I am so pleased you like that line; I was a bit smug when I wrote that, I have to admit. I'm pleased that you're enjoying it... It's what I write for!!

Grainne 2005.01.17 - 11:02PM 21: Mr Snape Signed
Hmm...a certain former Home Secretary is coming to mind (I didn't actually write that, did I?). Loved it--exactly how Snape's father would react, as you have imagined him. Thank goodness for Alina! One itty-bity correction: "Rosie ripped herself from grasp" should be "Rosie ripped herself from his grasp" I think. (bc missing words should never distract from good stories).

Author's Response: LOL! Dear Mr Blunkett - I must be psychic or something, for that incident had not hit the papers when I posted the chapter! Lol. Do you know, he hasn't been asked to vacate his "MP" house yet... Perhaps Blair's going to shuffle him straight back into the Cabinet after the elections!! Anyway - oops! I never noticed that error before; I'll go and change it. Thanks for the heads up, and for the review!

LOL ah you responded on my weird reviews! SOrry if they are weird but I read your story in almost one blow, well dinner etc. kinda came in the way at times. But I just love reading SS FFs and this one is very good! Thanks for your comment (can I say that as a reader...? Oh well...) Anyways its a great story and well...I just wanted to say that (probably said it before but one cant hear that enough right?) ;-) Anyways you said something about Snape's father was not that clear and I agree. But I think it only serves the story because one does not need to have a clear image of him, we all know he is a "?#&¤%... And well sorry if I, in my last reviews, did not comment on everything going on in the chapter, first of all I wasnt even sure you would/could read them and second there are such much going on at times ...Anyways g.r.e.a.t story!

Author's Response: ;-D I see all, Sniv! LOL. Thanks for your review! I try and respond to every review that I receive; if you've made my day by reviewing, it's the least I can do to let you know that I appreciate them! I always find it hard to know what to type in reviews; as you say, there's always so much going on in one chapter! (As I just typed that, I realised that I'd been sitting there for a couple of minutes deciding how best to phrase my reply! I prove my own point...) Thanks again for your review and I hope you continue to enjoy the story!

Wonderful story. Very detailed and engrossing. Hope for another update soon.

Author's Response: Ooh, my 100th reviewer! *clap clap* Thank you very much for your kind words. I should be getting another chapter up shortly - though, you never know - my mind never seems to work to deadlines! Thanks again!

Hmm...methinks Rosie is about to get herself into a whole lot of trouble. But that's okay, as i will get to read about it!

Author's Response: Rosie will invariably lead herself into trouble, and, yes, you will definitely get to read all about it!

Grainne 2005.01.14 - 01:00PM 19: The Average Couple Signed
Ah, partners in crime sounds so much better than "significant other." I, for one, would love to read the "Smarmy Git's Guide to Etiquette"! Rule No. 1: NEVER enter a room quietly (unless you are sneaking up on someone to hex them or whisper something naughty in their ear). ALWAYS slam doors, swish robes, and cause a general uproar wherever you go...

Author's Response: ;-D "Significant other" - I don't know, I just don't really like the term! Lol. Glad you appreciate "partners in crime"! You know, maybe I should expand on the Smarmy Git's Guide, and wind an alternate universe around it! Lol. Thanks a lot for your review!
