Well done dissembling. Of course there are many, many "Lucius kidnaps Hermione and makes Snape sexually abuse her for the amusement of fellow Death Eaters, but he rescues her" stories. But most of them are just an excuse to start a relationship between the two. You have used it to show Snape's cunning and role in a unique way - great job! This isn't really about Hermione or Lucius...it's about who Snape is.
At first, I was confused by Lucius' apparent surprise that school was out - he has a son, he knows when he's home! But then I realized he was just teasing. Home, are they? Not all....
And I agree - if the Order is operative, this take place post-GoF, and your reference to Lucius recently getting out of jail made me think it should be post-OotP. So Voldemort shouldn't be nearly as distant to his Death Eaters! |

Good story but shouldn't this be in Ashwinder rather than here? |

Clever little story! I did like your characterisation of Snape - he was a lovely mixture of guile, ruthlessness and vulnerability. Nice job! |

Intriguing story. It is unclear as to when this story takes place. If it takes place after book 5, Voldemort's return is a definate fact not a future possibility. I like the idea of exploring how diffigult it is for Snape to be an agent for Dumbledore. |
